What are Co-Admins?
Co-Admins allow you to invite another person (like a co-parent, spouse, teacher, or caregiver) to help manage your PointWiseSystem account. They can add points, approve rewards, and manage earners - perfect for families with two parents or classrooms with multiple teachers.
Common Use Cases:
- Co-Parents: Both parents can manage the family account
- Grandparents: Give view-only access to see progress
- Teachers: Multiple teachers managing a classroom
- Caregivers: Babysitters or nannies who need to award points
💡 No Extra Cost: The person you invite does NOT need their own Plus subscription - they just need a free PointWiseSystem account!
How Co-Admins Look in Settings
Co-Admins are managed in the Settings page. Here is what you will see:

👤 Owner Badge
The account owner (you) is always shown with an "Owner" badge.
✅ Active Status
Co-admins who accepted their invite show as "Active".
⏳ Pending Status
Invites that have not been accepted yet show as "Pending".
🗑️ Remove Option
Remove any co-admin at any time (except yourself).
Co-Admin Roles
When inviting a co-admin, you choose their permission level:
👑 Full Admin
- ✅ Add/remove points
- ✅ Approve reward redemptions
- ✅ Manage earners
- ✅ Edit tasks and rewards
- ✅ View all settings
- ❌ Cannot change subscription
- ❌ Cannot remove owner
👁️ View Only
- ✅ View earners and points
- ✅ See task completion
- ✅ View reward history
- ❌ Cannot add/remove points
- ❌ Cannot approve rewards
- ❌ Cannot edit anything
💡 Best Practice: Use "Full Admin" for co-parents who actively manage the account. Use "View Only" for grandparents or others who just want to see progress.
Inviting a Co-Admin
Follow these steps to invite your first co-admin:
1Go to Settings
Click the gear icon on the dashboard and enter your PIN.
2Find the Co-Admins Section
Scroll down to the "👥 Co-Admins" section.
3Click "+ Invite Co-Admin"
A form appears to send your invite.
4Enter Their Email
Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.

5Choose Permission Level
Select "Full Admin" or "View Only" based on what they need to do.
6Send the Invite
Click "Send Invite". They will receive an email with a link to accept!
💡 Tip: Ask them to check their spam/junk folder if they do not receive the invite within a few minutes.
What Happens When They Accept
When your co-admin clicks the link in their email:
1They Create an Account
If they do not have a PointWiseSystem account, they will create a free one.
2They Accept the Invite
They click "Accept" to join your account as a co-admin.
3Your Account Appears
Your account shows up in their "Shared Accounts" section when they log in.
4They Can Switch Accounts
They can switch between their own account and yours from the account menu.
Managing Co-Admins
From the Settings, Co-Admins section, you can:
- View all co-admins - See who has access and their role
- Remove a co-admin - Click "Remove" to revoke their access immediately
- Cancel pending invites - Cancel invites that have not been accepted
- Resend invites - Send the invite email again if they lost it
⚠️ Important: When you remove a co-admin, they lose access immediately. They cannot see or manage your account anymore.
Important Notes
👑 Owner Control
The account owner always has full control. Co-admins cannot remove the owner or change subscription settings.
🆓 Free for Co-Admins
Co-admins do not need their own Plus subscription - they just need a free account.
🔐 Separate PINs
Each co-admin uses their own PIN to access settings on shared devices.
📊 Activity Tracking
All actions are logged, so you can see who made changes.
Tier Limits
The number of co-admins you can have depends on your subscription:
🆓 Free & Basic
No co-admins available. Upgrade to Plus to invite others.
👑 Plus
2 co-admins included. Need more? Add extra co-admins for $0.99/month or $9.99/year each.
