Display Mode lets you switch between two different ways of using PointWiseSystem:
📊 Points Mode (Default)
Full gamification with points, badges, and rewards. Great for kids who love earning and spending points.
✅ Simple Mode
Clean task tracker without points or rewards. Perfect for teens, adults, or anyone who prefers simplicity.
Simple Mode is perfect for:
Teens and adults who want a chore chart without the "kid stuff"
Roommates or couples tracking shared household responsibilities
Anyone who prefers simple task completion over points and rewards
💡 No Data Loss: Switching between modes does not delete any data. Your points, badges, and rewards are always preserved - they are just hidden in Simple Mode.

What Changes in Simple Mode
❌ Points Hidden
Point balances and point values on tasks are hidden (but still tracked internally).
❌ Badges Hidden
Badge displays are removed from earner cards.
❌ Rewards Hidden
Reward sections are completely hidden from the dashboard.
✅ Insights Panel
A new panel shows today progress and completion percentage.
✅ Clean Completion
Task completion shows "Task completed!" instead of "+X points"
✅ Optional Streaks
Streaks can be shown or hidden based on your preference.
Enabling Simple Mode
Follow these steps to switch to Simple Mode:
1Go to Settings Click the gear icon on the dashboard and enter your PIN.
2Find Display Mode Section Look for the "Display Mode" section near the top of Settings.

3Toggle Simple Mode On Turn on the "Simple Mode" toggle. The dashboard will immediately update.
4Configure Streaks (Optional) Choose whether to show streak counts in Simple Mode.

When Simple Mode is enabled, you can choose whether to show streak counts:
🔥 Streaks On
Streak counts appear next to tasks. Great for tracking consistency without the full gamification.
🔥 Streaks Off
Completely clean interface with just task names and completion status.
💡 Tip: Streaks are a great middle ground - they provide motivation without the complexity of points and rewards.
Use Case: Teen/Adult Chore Chart
Simple Mode is ideal for households with teens or adults:
1Create Your Account Sign up for PointWiseSystem as usual.
2Add Each Person Add each household member as an "earner".
3Set Up Tasks Create recurring tasks for daily/weekly chores.
4Enable Simple Mode Turn on Simple Mode in Settings.
5Use the Dashboard Everyone can see their tasks and mark them complete. The Insights Panel shows who is keeping up!
Switching Back to Points Mode
You can switch back to Points Mode anytime:
Go to Settings → Display Mode
Turn off the "Simple Mode" toggle
All your points, badges, and rewards will reappear
⚠️ Remember: No data is ever lost when switching modes. Points continue to be tracked internally even in Simple Mode.
