The Earner Dashboard is a dedicated view where earners (children, students, team members) can log in with their own PIN and interact with the app directly. They can see their tasks, complete them, track their points, and view available rewards.

How Earners Log In
Earners access their dashboard through a simple, kid-friendly login process:
1Go to the Earner Login page Access via /earner-login or tap "Switch Earner" from the parent dashboard.
2Select your profile Tap on your avatar/name from the list of earners.
3Enter your PIN Use the number keypad to enter your 4-digit PIN.
4Start using your dashboard! You are now logged in and can see your tasks and points.

Completing Tasks
Earners can mark their own tasks as complete directly from their dashboard:
1Find your task Available tasks are shown in green.
2Tap the task A single tap marks the task as complete.
3Earn your points! Points are added to your balance immediately.
Task Types
Regular Tasks: Tap once to complete. Task turns gray with a checkmark.
Counter Tasks: Tap the + button to increment progress (e.g., "Read 20 pages" - tap + for each page).
Approval Tasks: Some tasks require parent approval. After you tap, it shows "Pending" until approved.
💡 Counter Tasks: For tasks like "Practice piano 30 minutes" or "Read 20 pages", tap the + button each time you make progress. The progress bar fills up as you go!
⚠️ Parent Approval: If a task has a 👁️ badge, it requires parent approval. You will see "Pending" after completing it until your parent approves.
Viewing Rewards
Earners can browse available rewards to see what they can work toward:
Tap the "Rewards" section to expand it
Rewards are organized by category (Small, Medium, Big, Quality Time)
Each reward shows its point cost
Rewards you can afford are highlighted
💡 Note: Earners can VIEW rewards but cannot redeem them directly. Redemption is done through the parent dashboard to ensure oversight.
Switching Between Earners
If multiple earners share a device, they can easily switch between accounts:
1Tap "Switch Earner" The purple button at the bottom of the dashboard.
2Select another earner Choose from the list of earners.
3Enter their PIN Each earner has their own PIN for privacy.
💡 Privacy: Each earner has their own PIN, so siblings cannot access each other accounts without permission.
Returning to Parent View
Parents can access the full dashboard at any time:
1Tap "Parent" button The gray button at the bottom of the earner dashboard.
2Enter Settings PIN Enter the parent/admin PIN (set during account setup).
3Access full dashboard You are now back in the parent view with full control.
⚠️ Security: The parent PIN is different from earner PINs. Keep it private so children cannot access settings or approve their own tasks.
Setting Up Earner PINs (For Admins)
Admins set up PINs through the Personalize modal on the main dashboard:
1Tap on an earner avatar or name On the main dashboard, tap the earner avatar or name to open the Personalize modal.
2Find the PIN Management section Scroll down in the Personalize modal to find "🔐 Earner Login PIN".
3Click "Set PIN" A keypad will appear. Enter a 4-digit PIN for this earner.
4Share the login link Once the PIN is set, you will see three options: Copy Link, Share, or Open.

Sharing the Earner Login
After setting a PIN, you have three ways to give earners access:
📋 Copy Link
Copies the earner login URL to your clipboard. Paste it in a message or bookmark it.
📤 Share
Opens your device share menu to send via text, email, AirDrop, etc.
🚀 Open
Opens the earner dashboard directly in a new tab. Great for testing or handing the device to the earner.
💡 Quick Access: You can also tap the "👦 Earner Dashboard" button in the dashboard header (if available) to quickly open the earner login page.
PIN Best Practices
Use different PINs for each earner
Avoid obvious PINs like 1234 or 0000
For young children, use a PIN they can remember (like their birth year)
You can change or reset a PIN anytime from the same Personalize modal
Managing PINs
From the Personalize modal, you can:
Change PIN: Click "Change PIN" to set a new PIN
Remove PIN: Click "Remove PIN" to disable earner login for this earner
Reset Lockout: If an earner is locked out from too many wrong attempts, click "Reset" to unlock them
⚠️ Lockout Protection: After 5 wrong PIN attempts, the earner is locked out for 15 minutes. Admins can reset this from the Personalize modal.
Personalization
Earners can personalize their dashboard by tapping on their avatar:
Avatar: Choose from dozens of emoji avatars
Theme Color: Pick a favorite color for the dashboard accent
Changes are saved automatically and appear immediately.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can earners redeem rewards themselves?
No, reward redemption is done through the parent dashboard. This ensures parents maintain oversight of what rewards are being claimed.
What if an earner forgets their PIN?
Admins can reset any earner PIN by tapping on the earner avatar/name on the dashboard, then clicking "Change PIN" in the Personalize modal. The earner will need to use the new PIN to log in.
Can earners see each other tasks and points?
No, each earner only sees their own tasks, points, and progress. Earner dashboards are completely private.
What happens if an earner enters the wrong PIN?
After 5 incorrect attempts, the account is locked for 15 minutes. This prevents guessing. Admins can unlock it from the Personalize modal if needed.
Can I disable the earner login feature?
Yes, if you prefer the traditional parent-managed approach, simply do not set PINs for earners. They will not be able to log in, and you can continue managing everything from the parent dashboard.
Is the earner dashboard safe for children?
Yes! The earner dashboard has no marketing tracking (COPPA compliant), no external links, and no way to access settings or make purchases. It is designed to be a safe, focused experience.
