What are Goals?
Goal Setting lets you assign a target reward for each earner to work toward. It is a great way to teach delayed gratification and keep earners motivated by showing them exactly how close they are to their goal.

💡 Tip: Let earners choose their own goal reward! It increases motivation when they are working toward something they picked themselves.
Setting a Goal
Follow these steps to set a goal for an earner:
1Go to Settings
Click the gear icon on the dashboard and enter your PIN.
2Find Goal Setting Section
Scroll to the "🎯 Goal Setting" section.
3Select an Earner
Choose which earner you want to set a goal for.
4Pick a Reward
Select a reward from your list as their goal.
5Save
The goal progress bar will appear on their dashboard card!
What are Challenges?
Challenges turn individual goals into friendly competitions! Create a race where 2 or more earners compete to reach a point target first. The winner gets bonus points as a reward.

Creating a Challenge
Follow these steps to create a challenge:
1Go to Settings, Goal Setting
Find the "Setup Challenge" button.
2Enter Challenge Details
Give it a name, set the point target, and choose bonus points for the winner.
3Select Participants
Choose 2 or more earners to compete.
4Filter Tasks (Optional)
Choose which tasks count toward the challenge, or let all points count.
5Start the Challenge!
Click "Start Challenge" and the leaderboard appears on the dashboard.
Task Filtering Options
When creating a challenge, you can choose which tasks count toward progress:
📊 All Points (Default)
Every point earned counts toward the challenge.
⚡ Quick Add Only
Only points from specific Quick Add tasks count.
🔄 Recurring Only
Only points from specific recurring tasks count.
🎯 Mix and Match
Select any combination of tasks.
💡 Themed Challenges: Use task filtering to create themed challenges! For example, create a "Homework Challenge" that only counts homework-related tasks, or a "Chore Challenge" for household tasks.
During a Challenge
- Individual goals remain visible - Earners can still see their personal goal progress
- Separate tracking - Challenge progress is tracked separately from individual goals
- Dashboard leaderboard - Shows challenge progress for all participants
- One at a time - Only one challenge can be active at a time
🎬 Animated Leaderboard
When points are earned, the challenge leaderboard comes alive with animations!
✨ Row Pulse
The earner row pulses with a green tint when they earn points.
📊 Progress Bar Glow
The progress bar glows green and smoothly fills to the new percentage.
➕ Points Badge
A green "+5" badge appears showing exactly how many points were just earned.
💡 Engagement Boost: These animations make completing tasks feel rewarding and help kids see their progress in real-time!
Ending a Challenge
A challenge ends when:
- Someone Wins: First earner to reach the target gets the bonus points automatically
- You Cancel It: Go to Settings and click "Cancel Challenge" (no bonus awarded)
⚠️ Note: When a challenge ends, the leaderboard disappears from the dashboard. You can start a new challenge anytime!

Goals and Challenges availability depends on your subscription:
