Quick Add Tasks are one-tap buttons on the dashboard that instantly award points for common activities. They are perfect for spontaneous rewards and tasks that do not need tracking like recurring tasks do.
Best For:
Spontaneous good behavior ("helped sibling", "went above and beyond")
Tasks that happen irregularly ("walked the dog", "extra chore")
Quick rewards without needing to type anything
๐ก Quick Add vs Recurring Tasks: Use Quick Add for spontaneous rewards. Use Recurring Tasks for scheduled daily/weekly tasks that need completion tracking and streaks.
How Quick Add Tasks Look on the Dashboard
Quick Add Tasks appear as green buttons on each earner card:
โก Quick Add Points
Green = Tap to award points
Earner-Specific Task Assignment NEW
Assign tasks to specific earners so each person only sees tasks relevant to them. This is perfect for age-appropriate chores or individual responsibilities.
๐ฏ How It Works: When you assign a task to specific earners, only those earners will see the task on their dashboard. Tasks assigned to "All" appear for everyone.
Assignment Options
๐ฅ All Earners
Task appears on everyone dashboard. Default for most tasks.
๐ค Specific Earners
Task only appears for selected earners. Great for age-appropriate tasks.
How to Assign Tasks to Specific Earners
1Go to Settings, Quick Add Tasks
2Find the "Assign to:" row below each task
3Check/uncheck earners to control who sees the task
Example: Assign "Make bed (with help)" to younger children and "Clean bathroom" to older children.
Age-Appropriate Task Suggestions NEW
When adding a new earner to a Family profile, you can select their age to get suggested tasks appropriate for their developmental stage.
๐ Automatic Suggestions: Select an age when adding an earner, and we will suggest age-appropriate tasks. You can select which ones to add - they will be automatically assigned to only that earner!
How It Works
1Add a new earner in Settings, Manage Earners
2Select their age from the dropdown (3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12+)
3Review suggested tasks in the popup modal
4Check/uncheck tasks you want to add
5Click "Add Selected" - tasks are assigned to only that earner!
Age-Appropriate Task Examples
๐ถ Ages 3-5
Put toys away, make bed (with help), put clothes in hamper, help set table
๐ง Ages 6-8
Make bed, do homework, empty trash cans, set dinner table, school success
๐ฆ Ages 9-11
Help with dishes, clean room, fold clothes, walk dog, behavior streak bonus
๐ง Ages 12+
Clean bathroom, clean kitchen, vacuum, yard work
๐ก Tip: Age selection is optional! Skip it if you prefer to set up tasks manually.
Filtering Tasks in Settings
Use the "Show tasks for:" dropdown in Settings to filter and view tasks for specific earners.
๐๏ธ All Earners
Shows all tasks regardless of assignment.
๐ค Specific Earner
Shows tasks assigned to "All" plus tasks specifically assigned to that earner.
๐ก Tip: Use the filter to quickly see what tasks each earner can complete on the dashboard.
Task Cooldowns (Frequency Limits)
Limit how often Quick Add Tasks can be completed. When a task is on cooldown, the button turns gray:
โก Quick Add Points

Green = Available now
Gray = On cooldown
Cooldown Options:
Daily - Task resets at midnight (your timezone)
Weekly - Task resets Monday at midnight
Monthly - Task resets on the 1st of each month
None - Task can be completed unlimited times
Cooldown Scope Options
๐ฅ Everyone (Shared)
Once ANY earner completes the task, it is on cooldown for ALL earners. Great for shared chores.
๐ค Per Earner
Each earner can complete the task once per period independently. Perfect for individual tasks.
Examples:
"Take out trash" (Everyone): Only needs to be done once. First earner to do it gets the points.
"Practice piano" (Per Earner): Each earner should practice, so each can earn points independently.
๐ก Tip: Use "Everyone" scope for tasks that only need to be done once, and "Per Earner" for tasks each person should do.
