Animated Icons: Streak icons animate and grow bigger with longer streaks — fire for daily, stars for weekly, calendars for monthly!

How Streaks Work
✅ Complete Task
Streak increases by 1. Complete daily tasks each day, weekly tasks each week.
❌ Miss Task
Streak resets to 0. The task was not completed before its reset time.
⏭️ Skip Task
Streak stays the same. Use skip for sick days, holidays, or legitimate reasons.
🏖️ Vacation Mode
Streak stays the same. All tasks auto-skip during vacation dates.
Reset Times:
Daily tasks: Reset at midnight in your timezone
Weekly tasks: Reset Monday at midnight
Monthly tasks: Reset on the 1st of each month

Configuring Streak Settings
Customize streak bonuses in Settings:
1Go to Settings Click the gear icon and enter your PIN.
2Find Streaks & Penalties Section Scroll to the "🔥 Streaks & Penalties" section.
3Adjust Milestone Bonuses Set custom point values for 7, 30, and 100-streak milestones.
4Save Changes Changes apply immediately to all earners.
Skipping Tasks
Sometimes tasks cannot be completed for legitimate reasons. Instead of breaking streaks, use the Skip feature.
How to Skip a Task
Find the task on the dashboard
Click the skip button next to the task
Select a reason: Vacation, Sick Day, No School, Holiday, or Other
The task is marked as skipped and streak is preserved
What Happens When You Skip
No points earned - Skipped tasks do not award points
No penalty applied - Even if penalties are enabled
Streak preserved - Your streak stays intact
💡 Tip: Use skip sparingly for legitimate reasons. Overusing it defeats the purpose of building habits!
Vacation Mode (Time Off)
Vacation Mode automatically skips all recurring tasks for an earner during specified dates. Perfect for family trips, school breaks, or extended time away.

Setting Up Vacation Mode
1Go to Dashboard Find the earner card on the main dashboard.
2Click "Set Time Off" Look for the vacation button below their tasks.
3Select Start and End Dates Choose when vacation begins and ends.
4Save Tasks will auto-skip during this period with streaks preserved.
💡 Pro Tip: Set up vacation dates before you leave! You can schedule time off in advance.
Missed Task Penalties (Optional)
Penalties are an optional feature that deducts points when a recurring task is not completed before its reset time. Penalties are OFF by default - you must explicitly enable them.
⚠️ Use With Care: Penalties can be demotivating if overused. Consider using them only for tasks that are truly important and within the earner control. Always pair penalties with positive reinforcement!
How Penalties Work
Task not completed by reset time - Penalty points are deducted
Task completed - No penalty (points earned as normal)
Task skipped - No penalty (skipped tasks are exempt)
Earner on vacation - No penalty (vacation auto-skips tasks)
Enabling Penalties

2Toggle "Enable Missed Task Penalties" ON
3Set the penalty amount (e.g., 5 points per missed task)
💡 Tip: Start with a small penalty amount (e.g., 5 points) and adjust based on how it affects motivation. The goal is accountability, not punishment.

Streaks are tracked but not displayed. Upgrade to Plus to see streak counts and earn milestone bonuses.
👑 Plus
Full streak tracking, milestone bonuses, vacation mode, and optional penalties. All streak features unlocked!
⚠️ What Happens If I Downgrade? Your streak data is preserved in the database, but streak display and bonuses are disabled. If you upgrade back to Plus, your streaks will be restored!
